Curator | Art Dealer | Art Advisor | Artist
As an art dealer, advisor and curator Raquel, known by her artist name Keli Lucas, leverages her studies in Fine Art, Art History, Conceptual Art and Philosophy from NYC’s School of Visual Arts, Fashion Institute of Technology and Parsons The New School.
As once a student that later taught at NYC’s School of Visual Arts, Raquel honed a deeper understanding of art and its place in not only history, but the human psyche across the emotional spectrum. Also, in her obsession with art’s evolution, she knows that the future is technology as a canvas, worthy of its place among the world’s fine art.
Prior to Co-founding The Parallel, Cohen has curated, created, exhibited and brokered art in and for numerous galleries, museums and nonprofit organizations, most notably at SUN Art’s Gallery and Art Residency at The Bushwick Generator in Brooklyn, Mexico City Artweek’s Union Galleria, Spyscape Museum, One Art Space Gallery in Tribeca NY, Villa Matisse in Tulum Mexico, Okay Space Gallery, Sandro Paris, GreenArts.org, Reach For The Stars Learning Center, The SAFE Foundation, Magen David of Manhattan and the Frida Kahlo Corporation at Miami Art Basel with the Mexican Government and The Rotary.
Raquel Cohen remains passionate about nurturing artists, innovating digital art spaces and utilizing technology to help art and creativity evolve society on various spectrums.
